Student Arrested After Bomb Threat Causes Evacuation at South Grand Prairie High School
A student has been arrested after allegedly making a bomb threat that resulted in the evacuation of South Grand Prairie High School in Grand Prairie, Texas on Thursday.
According to Grand Prairie Police officials, an investigation is underway to determine the involvement of all present individuals, including juveniles. As is often the case in incidents involving minors, legal restrictions limit the release of additional details at this time. Grand Prairie Police could not for legal reasons confirm that an arrest had been made.
The school was evacuated as a precaution, and both K-9 units and law enforcement personnel responded to the scene. Following a thorough search, an all-clear was given, and normal activities resumed.
The student responsible for the threat has been taken into custody, although no additional information has been provided.
