Tonight, the Grand Prairie ISD school board voted to place newly hired superintendent Dr. Jorge Arredondo on administrative leave while an investigation is conducted. The board did not disclose details of the allegations, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
The decision was made in a 5-2 vote, with David Espinosa and Gloria Carillo voting against the motion. Amber Moffit, Emily Liles, Terry Brooks, Bryan Parra, and Nancy Bridges voted in favor of placing Dr. Arredondo on leave.
Dr. Arredondo began his role as superintendent of Grand Prairie ISD on July 1, 2024. Traci Ray will serve as interim superintendent during the investigation.
