Grand Prairie Police Investigating Family Violence-Related Murder

The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating what they say is a family violence-related murder that occurred over the weekend. GPPD has not released an official press release in this case, but once they do, we will share that with you.

Yolanda Kelly, the 41-year-old victim, in this case, is originally from Detroit, Michigan. She also lived in Florida. She was currently living in Grand Prairie, Texas. Her last known address was 38 Mountain Creek Grand Prairie, TX 75052. She graduated from Detroit Northern High School. She previously worked as a CNA for 20 years. She was currently working as an LPN. She was finishing up the required courses to obtain her Registered Nurse Certification. She also started her own Business as a Credit Agent and Financial Consultant for Financial Literacy.

She leaves behind two daughters, one 15-year-old and one 10-year-old.

The suspect, in this case, has not been arrested. We will update you once we have more details on the investigation.
