Grand Prairie High School Teacher Arrested For Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student
The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating an Improper Relationship Between an Educator and a Student. On December 4, 2022, Grand Prairie Detectives were notified of an alleged intimate relationship between a GPISD male Teacher/Coach and an 18-year-old female student.
Detectives initiated an investigation which subsequently led to the arrest of Teacher/Coach Kenrick Burns, 28 years of age. Today, December 14th, Burns was booked into the Grand Prairie Detention Center on a charge of
Improper Relationship Between an Educator and a Student, a second-degree felony, with a bond set at $50,000.
This case remains under investigation.
Though we have not heard from Grand Prairie ISD on the matter, they did go to great lengths to scrub Mr. Burns from the GPISD website. Good thing we grabbed a screenshot before they did.
