Golden Chick Begins Expansion Boom With New Grand Prairie Restaurant
North Texas-based brand grows presence in suburb with third location
Golden Chick opened the doors to its newest location in Grand Prairie, Texas, expanding the brand's presence to three restaurants in the area. The newest Golden Chick will be conveniently located at 1510 N. Beltline Road off of Tom Landry Freeway, ideal for commuters who work in Grand Prairie’s portion of the Great Southwest Industrial District or residents seeking a delicious meal.
The new Grand Prairie restaurant is owned and operated by Chris Aslam, a well-known Golden Chick operator. Aslam’s group currently runs six locations, including restaurants in Arlington, Dallas, and Forest Hill.
“North Texas is where the very heart of Golden Chick is located and where we want to continue our strong presence within. When you have strong roots, you have to continue to fortify them,” said Mark Parmerlee, president and chairman of Golden Chick. “While our brand continues to expand and break through to other markets, we have a keen eye on ensuring our local communities are seeing that expansion in their own backyard. With a seasoned veteran operator like Chris at the helm, Grand Prairie is in good hands.”
The opening of this restaurant kicks off Golden Chick’s plan for 10% growth within six months, a massive feat during a restaurant landscape filled with supply chain issues and delayed construction. The brand will continue expansion throughout existing markets like Texas and Oklahoma, with 20 new restaurant openings from now until Q1 of 2023.
Customers can visit and try new and old Golden Chick favorites, like the revamped Big & Golden Sandwich® and iconic crispy Original Golden Tenders® or the new and improved Wicked Wings. Grand Prairie can redeem the limited-time pricing on the hand-breaded Wicked Wings until October 30, including six wings and a roll for only $6.99, a combo including a side and a 30-ounce drink for only $8.99 or an app-only offer for $5 off an order of a 24-piece Wicked Wing special on Wing Wednesdays and Wing Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
