GRAND PRAIRIE, TX - A Cessna 180A aircraft carrying two pilots experienced a flip on the runway at Grand Prairie Municipal Airport today due to heavy braking during an attempted stop. Thankfully, both pilots emerged unscathed; however, the aircraft sustained significant damage.

In light of the incident, the Grand Prairie Municipal Airport runway has been temporarily closed to allow for an investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). As soon as the aircraft is cleared from the runway, operations will resume as usual.
