35-Year-Old Man Drowns at EPIC Central; No Word on Possible Contributing Factors
Yesterday, at approximately 10:31 p.m., the Grand Prairie Fire Department responded to a report of a possible drowning in the 2900 block of South State Highway 161. The incident occurred in a body of water at EPIC Central, near the Illuvia Water & Light Show. A witness reported that a male was last seen jumping into a pond, where he did not resurface. The Grand Prairie Public Safety Dive Team conducted a search and recovered the body of a 35-year-old male.
At this time, the Grand Prairie Fire Department have not confirmed or disclosed any information regarding the potential involvement of substances in this incident. The identity of the deceased will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
